Hepatitis Awareness Day

What a beautiful morning today! 28th July 2020 at Northcott Community Centre

A big thank you to everyone for a successful community event in some challenging times. It was wonderful to bring our services together and keep engaged with the communities we work with.

We did have some obstacles including the inclement weather, ensuring social distancing, the need to manage our resources to keep COVID services running
So what happened on the day? We were set up for only 80 minutes and managed to;

  • Do 11 Dry blood spot tests for hepatitis C
  • Give out 60 delicious fresh, healthy lunches thanks to Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre
  • Have conversations with over 40 people about hepatitis C. That chocolate wheel was very popular and quiz and merchandise worked well to communicate those key messages about hepatitis C

There was good music and good vibes from all.
