Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre invites the Community to join us in celebrating Naidoc Week 2023

JOIN US FOR A FILM SCREENING OF KANYINI

Made in 2006 Kanyini is a captivating story co-produced and narrated by Bob Randall, an Aboriginal man from Uluru in Central Australia. Former Indigenous Person of the Year, Bob acts as our guide to “Kanyini”, which he describes as the principle of connectedness through caring and responsibility that informs all aspects of Aboriginal life. Kanyini looks at the world’s oldest living culture in a way that’s never been seen before.

Kanyini was voted “best documentary”at the London Australian Film Festival 2007, winner of the “Inside Film Independent Spirit Award”, and winner of the Discovery Channel “Best Documentary Award” in 2006.
