Neighbourhood Centre Week
Neighbourhood Centre Week from 8th to 14th May 2023. Neighbourhood Centre Week is a nationwide initiative to celebrate the role of Neighbourhood Centres in local communities across the nation.
This year’s theme is ‘Locals Connecting Locals’
A common thread that runs through Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre and every one of the 1000+ centres across Australia, is our inclusive nature: anyone and everyone is welcome, and members of the community are encouraged to help in the centre’s organisation, management and use.

Come along to one of our fantastic community cafes, connect with your neighbours and acknowledge this with us:
Northcott residents café at the Northcott Community Centre on Wednesday 10am – 12pm
Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre community café on Friday from 10.30am – 1.30pm
Look out for our gazebo at the monthly vintage market in Shannon Reserve on Saturday May 6th –come along and be part of the neighbourhood centre’s Creative Table project onsite and connect with other locals from your community.
Surry Hills Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) will also have an information stand at the markets.
